Acrylic paint on natural, unprimed canvas stretched over a handmade wooden frame

It’s the opening line of the Iliad (nobody wants to hear that it’s not the translation that you prefer, literature nerds) on a blank piece of canvas. Other than being a total literature nerd, I don’t remember why I made this. If you’re a literature nerd, too, you get it.

Note: this piece was displayed in a business and somehow fell & broke the frame. I built a new frame and re-stretched the canvas over it.
